Marilena Roukounaki is a graduate of the Department of Physiotherapy at the University of Patras. She works extensively with athletes (football players, cyclists, runners, dancers, etc.). She is certified in ERGON Technique (Level I – Basic & Level II – Advanced), as well as in modern rehabilitation and strengthening methods using Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) with Kinetic Flossing, safely delivering faster results in muscle injuries. She is also specialized in the painless Dry Needling technique. Her special interest in Geriatric Physiotherapy was reinforced through her scientific research on physical activity, mental health, and functional capacity in older adults, which is included in the international scientific database PubMed. She holds official certification from the Center for Lifelong Learning of the University of Patras in Pelvic Floor Dysfunction Rehabilitation (Levels I & II). At Therapis, as with all our sessions, pelvic floor therapy is conducted in a specially designed private space, ensuring complete privacy and comfort, as required for this type of rehabilitation. She is a member of the Panhellenic Physiotherapists’ Association (PSF) and the Greek Fragility Fracture Network (FFNGr).
